Media Buckets are object storage set up for serving files to the web: images, video, downloads, and the static assets of a website. You manage them under Media Buckets in the console. Underneath it is the same S3-compatible Object Storage the platform offers, packaged so that anyone, not only a developer, can create a bucket, upload files, and get a shareable link without touching code.

Media Buckets or plain Object Storage?
They are the same storage underneath. Media Buckets give a friendly, click-and-upload experience with delivery links and custom domains, aimed at non-technical users. Plain Object Storage, with S3 access keys, is what a developer wires into an application. Use whichever fits who is doing the work.
How to
You are billed for how much you store and how much is downloaded, which is far cheaper than serving large files from a Cloud Server.
