What is Gewape Cloud?

Last updated on Jul 14, 2026

Gewape Cloud lets you rent computing by the hour instead of buying and running your own hardware. You create servers, storage, networks and more from a web console, use them for as long as you need, and pay only for what you use.

Everything runs in our own data centres in three places: Nairobi in Kenya, and Kigali and Huye in Rwanda. Because the infrastructure is here, your servers sit close to your users, so pages load quickly, and your data stays in the country you chose rather than crossing to another continent.

You manage all of it from the console at platform.gewape.cloud, signing in with your Gewape ID. There is nothing to install to get started; a web browser is enough.

A few things people build on Gewape Cloud:

  • Websites and web applications, from a single server to a load-balanced cluster.
  • Databases, either on a server you manage or as a managed service.
  • File and media storage that serves directly to browsers.
  • Private networks that connect several servers together.

If you are brand new, read The words we use to get comfortable with the terms, then follow Launch your first Cloud Server to create something real.
